How is Embossing Produced?
Embossing, debossing, foil stamping, die cutting plus many other specialty print operations are executed using a letterpress. Letterpresses are one of the oldest forms of printing in use today. They are really cool machines. If you are blessed with an old Heidelberg you know what I am saying. We have a few 1949 windmills that we use for many creative aspects of printing. These machines are capable of delivering 50 tons of pressure per square inch. They are my favorite machines for injected embossing wizardry on.
